Woods Residence

There was a clear sense of what this young expanding family wanted from our initial consultation. “Can you please knock down this old home that is in disrepair and design us a new old home. We want something that is traditional and conservative but that has modern architectural features and amenities.” Our design approach was to use refined traditional detailing for its exterior with respect to the existing neighborhoods architectural vernacular while keeping the interior floor plan open and flooded with natural light. The homes signature feature is a magnificent family room with generous soft natural light. The space opens to the private meticulously landscaped rear yard and pool. It boasts a beautifully trimmed vaulted ceiling and a natural stone hearth.
